The process

From first text to final decision

Five stops. At each one we tell you where you are and what's next.

  1. 01

    Step 1: Call or text

Say what happened in a few lines, in English or Spanish. Nuria calls back and books a time, in the office or by video.

  2. 02

Step 2: Sit down, ask everything

You talk, we listen, then we ask a lot of questions. You leave knowing what we would file, what could go wrong and what it would cost.

  3. 03

    Step 3: Fee letter

The scope, the price and what isn't included, in writing, in your language. Nothing starts until you've read it and signed.

  4. 04

    Step 4: Papers and filing

We list what we need, you gather it, we check it and file. You get a copy of everything.

  5. 05

Step 5: Decision day, and after

We explain the decision when it comes, and the next step. If the answer is no, we tell you whether an appeal makes sense.

Your first meeting

What to bring, and what to leave at home

Bring what you have. A missing paper is not a reason to wait.

Bring every immigration paper you've ever received, or a photo of each. If you can't find one, tell us what it was; we can often request a copy. Leave at home any paper you didn't sign yourself and aren't sure about.

Bring

  • Passports and any visas

  • Any notice from USCIS or from the court

  • Your entry record, if you have it

  • Marriage, birth and divorce certificates

  • A list of your addresses and trips, as best you remember

One call or text starts it

Nuria will call you back, in the language you wrote in.

Please don't send confidential details by text.
