Green cards and family
A green card case is a pile of proof
A form tells the government who you are. The proof tells it why to believe you. Dulce builds both, and she starts with the proof.
Most family cases turn on a handful of documents: records of the marriage, of the years apart, of who paid the bills. We ask for them at the first meeting, check each one against the rules, and tell you what's missing while there's still time to find it.
What we file
Petitions for spouses, parents, children and siblings
Green cards from inside the U.S. (adjustment of status)
Visa interviews at a U.S. consulate abroad
Waivers when something in the past blocks the case
Removing the conditions on a marriage green card
Renewing or replacing a green card

The file
What fills the file
The list changes with the case. These four are where most of them start.
The relationship
Photos, leases, joint bills, messages, and sworn letters from people who know you.
Status and entry
Passports, visas, entry records and every earlier filing, checked for gaps.
Financial support
The sponsor's form and the tax records behind it, with a joint sponsor if one is needed.
The past
Arrests, old orders, long stays: we look for them first, so they don't surprise you at the interview.
Green cards, asked and answered
Can I stay while my petition is pending?
It depends on how you entered and whether you hold any other status. We check this before anything is filed, because a wrong move can start a removal case.
How long will it take?
It depends on the relationship, the country and the office handling the case. We tell you what the government's current charts say, and what nobody can know.
My spouse and I lived apart for a while. Does that end the case?
Not by itself. The government asks whether the marriage is real, and time apart, work abroad and hard seasons all have evidence that explains them.
Bring the papers you have
Even a shoebox of them. Dulce will tell you what's missing and what comes first.
